¡Fiesta! 2022 - Connecting Communities Across the Americas

For nearly twenty years, Mercado Global has been a catalyst for positive change throughout rural Guatemala. Now, as we expand to new regions of Latin America to transform the lives of more Indigenous women through financial independence, we are bringing together our supporters, corporate partners, and international retailers to connect these communities across the Americas for this momentous milestone.

We invite you to be part of our signature ¡Fiesta! Gala, as we celebrate the incredible women who weave our designs – along with our partners and supporters – with opportunities to engage with our work, both virtually and in-person from December 2021 through June 2022.

Our team will work with Host Committee members and campaign supporters to customize benefits:

  • Tickets or a table at our annual gala - ¡Fiesta! – in the heart of Silicon Valley the week of April 18th, 2022 at an exclusive location
  • Recognition of your staff at our gala event, to highlight their accomplishments in your field
  • Customized events that can include Lunch & Learns, trunk sales, or VIP receptions for your friends or staff

Sponsorship benefits can be tailored to meet your needs, whether you are an individual looking to make a difference with your friends and family, or a company searching for ways to engage and recognize your team’s achievements. Partnering with donors, companies, and artisans, we are reshaping the world to be more ethical, sustainable, and just – for all of us.

Your support of Fashion Forward will raise critical funding and awareness of the challenges Indigenous communities face in rural Guatemala. This event directly supports the women who are at the heart of all we do, along with thousands of their family members.

Thanks to the critical funding raised through Fashion Forward, we can offer the tools, training, and support, so that Indigenous women in rural Guatemala can become Mercado Global artisans. As one of the only sources of revenue in their communities right now, we provide them and their families with steady income, along with emergency supports like food and masks, to help keep them safe and healthy.

Supporting a nonprofit focused on women’s empowerment and ethical fashion demonstrates a commitment to worker’s rights around the world, at a time where critical social issues are at a tipping point. Partnering with donors, retailers, and artisans, we are reshaping the world to be more ethical, sustainable, and just – for all of us.
