This film showcases how the organization empowers Maya women artisans in Guatemala, providing them with sustainable income opportunities while preserving their cultural heritage.
SUPPORT OUR WORKSince our founding in 2004 by Ruth Álvarez de Golia, we have worked to help artisans achieve financial independence and overcome systemic poverty. The documentary captures their resilience, featuring breathtaking visuals of Guatemala’s landscapes and the artistry behind their handcrafted creations.
A key part of this collaboration is the creation of 100% cotton bags by our partner artisans for CORE, symbolizing sustainability and empowerment. Through personal stories, the film highlights how income generation and cultural preservation go hand in hand, transforming lives and strengthening communities.
